Understanding Usage Limits and Quotas
Learn how usage limits work in Zuro, when they reset, and how to monitor your usage to stay within your plan's limits.
What Are Usage Limits?
Usage limits are the maximum amounts of resources you can use based on your subscription plan. Different plans have different limits for knowledge bases, articles, AI processing, and API requests.
Types of Limits
Knowledge Base Limits
- Number of knowledge bases: How many KBs you can create
- Articles per KB: Maximum articles in each knowledge base
- Total articles: Overall article limit across all KBs
AI Processing Limits
- Monthly limit: AI operations per month
- Resets monthly: On your billing date
- Includes: Article generation, KB generation, document processing, SEO generation
API Rate Limits
- Requests per month: API calls allowed
- Varies by plan: Higher plans = more requests
- Resets monthly: On your billing date
MCP Rate Limits
- Requests per hour: MCP operations per hour
- Per key: Each MCP key has its own limit
- Resets hourly: Every hour
When Limits Reset
Monthly Limits
- Reset date: Your billing date (when you subscribed)
- Example: If you subscribed on the 15th, limits reset on the 15th of each month
- Automatic: Resets happen automatically
- No action needed: You don't need to do anything
Hourly Limits (MCP)
- Reset frequency: Every hour
- Automatic: Resets on the hour
- Per key: Each MCP key resets independently

- Articles still work: Can still edit existing articles
Article Limits
- Can't create new articles: Must delete some or upgrade
- Can edit existing: Current articles can still be updated
- Can delete articles: Free up space by deleting

- Manual creation works: Can still create articles manually
- Wait for reset: Or upgrade for higher limits
API Rate Limits
